How to get rid of acne?

WHERE DOES ACNE COME FROM?

Acne is a very common but not inconsequentia. The risk of scarring and the loss of self-esteem are part of the reality of the people affected by this health problem. But where does acne come from?

The body secretes on the surface of the skin a fatty substance called sebum, essential for skin hydration. Sebum is produced by glands, the sebaceous glands, which are found at the non-visible end of the hair.

It can happen that sebaceous glands produce too much sebum and that cells obstruct the duct through which it is secreted on the surface of the skin. Pore clogging promotes the development of bacteria that cause inflammation and give birth to acne pimples.

Acne appears mostly on the face and neck , but also on the shoulders , back and arms . From the small red button to the very painful cyst, there are several types of acne pimples.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF ACNE?

Acne mainly affects adolescents and usually disappears as an adult. Boys are more often affected than girls and the risk increases if parents have already suffered from acne. There are many causes for acne, for example:

  • the hormonal changes in women (pregnancy, menstruation, etc.);
